Hastelloy C-2000

Hastelloy C-2000 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with a controlled copper addition developed for broad resistance to oxidizing and reducing chemicals. Its high chromium content improves performance in oxidizing media, molybdenum provides resistance to reducing acids and localized corrosion, and copper extends resistance in many sulfuric acid environments. Yes. UNS N06200 is the standardized UNS designation for Hastelloy C-2000. The alloy may also be identified as Alloy C-2000, Nickel Alloy C-2000, W.Nr. 2.4675 or NiCr23Mo16Cu.

The controlled copper addition improves resistance to sulfuric acid and selected reducing environments. It complements the chromium used for oxidizing resistance and the molybdenum used for reducing acids and localized corrosion.

YSN128 can quote plate, sheet, strip, round bar, rod, wire, seamless pipe, welded pipe, tube, forgings, flanges, fittings, fasteners and welding wire. Cutting, forming, machining and drawing-based production can also be discussed.

Yes. Alloy C-2000 has good weldability using suitable nickel-alloy procedures. Matching filler metals such as ERNiCrMo-17 may be used with clean joint surfaces, controlled interpass temperature and the required inspection.

Alloy C-2000 contains more chromium and a deliberate copper addition, extending performance in many oxidizing and sulfuric acid environments. Alloy C-276 contains tungsten and remains an established choice for many reducing and mixed chemical services. Selection should be based on actual process chemistry.
