Hastelloy X

Hastelloy X is a solid-solution-strengthened nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy developed for high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance and fabrication stability. The alloy retains useful ductility after prolonged thermal exposure and provides good resistance to oxidizing, carburizing and neutral furnace atmospheres. Alloy X is widely specified for gas-turbine combustion chambers, transition ducts, afterburner components, industrial furnaces, petrochemical equipment and other high-temperature welded assemblies.

No. Hastelloy X is primarily strengthened by solid-solution effects from molybdenum and other alloying elements. It is normally supplied in the solution-annealed condition rather than precipitation hardened.
